Startling. . .Or not? Overpriced Items That We Buy (almost) Everyday!! Check This Out!

         MSN recently released a list of 20 products whose mark-ups, while insanely high, do not really phase us!  Some of these things, such as 3.8 million dollar hand bags, are obviously way too expensive but do you think about how marked-up your popcorn is at the movies?  Well, on average, that popcorn is marked up%1,275!!!  Absurd?  How about how terrible it is for you?  With a soda, a cinema’s popcorn has the “caloric equivalent of THREE MCDONALD’S QUARTER POUNDERS”.

Be Aware of New Scams That Are Happening Right Now! Important For Everyone To Know!

“Scam Alerts: Utility Bailout and ACA Verification”

“The government has reported two new scams to be wary of.  In the first, scammers claim to represent the “Obama Utility Bailout Program” and tell consumers they’ll get help with their utility bills in exchange for their banking and Social Security numbers.  The second scam asks people to verify personal information as part of the Affordable Care Act.  Be aware that the government will not call and seek your personal information.”

An article posted on http://www.inmannews.com today reported on a survey taken by Trulia.com.  In the survey 100 of the largest United States Metropolitan areas, including Detroit, Michigan, New York, New York/New Jersey, West Palm Beach, Florida, Memphis, Tennesse and many more, you can see that the price of RENTING a home is exponentially higher than the price of BUYING a home in the area!  This is shocking news to most, as one would assume that renting VS buying is a no brainer.  Turns out it is the other way around!

There are many different possibilities when deciding on and locating a place to live, but most of the time, after location its self, price is a close second, right?  Look at those statistics in the article, saving 70% on monthly payments in a place like Detroit, Michigan if you were to buy a home as opposed to rent!

As we all know, Bloomfield NJ is a beautiful place to live, grow up and generally be!  The New York Times made a headline about this titled “A Starter Spot For Suburbanites”.

Poor Weather, Happy News!

Today’s weather, though not as nice as many would like it to be (us here at TDR included), can be substantially combated by the new regulation changes to FHA (Federal Housing Association) rules regarding condos.
