Looking For A Something To Do Tonight That Has A Wonderful Cause Behind It? Check Out This Concert!

In an Article posted on northjersey.com, and quoted from the Bloomfield Editorial, there is information about a rather wonderful concert that will be happening TONIGHT, DECEMBER 7TH, at 8:00 P.M.  The concert that will be held at Bloomfield Middle School (60 Huck Road, Bloomfield, NJ 07003) will be performed by the Bloomfield Youth Band.  The Band has decided to, in their own way, help out the victims of Hurricane Sandy by learning music and playing it for an audience!  They have selected many wonderful pieces such as  the theme from the Italian movie “Cinema Paradiso”, a couple more modern pieces and much more.

Remember Cinema 23 In Cedar Grove? It’s Becoming Something New Finally!

Remember that old cinema in Cedar Grove?  The one across from the Pilgrim diner, and next to the Pilgrim Shopping center on Pompton Avenue?  Well, if you do, you probably know that it has been closed down for almost three (3) years now.

With the cinema just sitting here, vacant, next to a lone standing (since the cinema closed) restaurant, Cedar Grove‘s Planning Board finally decided something must be done.

The plan that is in progress for this old classic of a theater is one that many probably would not guess.  The board is planning on turning Cinema 23 into 5 RETAIL OFFICES!  The planning for this renovation has been approved.

As former patrons of the theater ourselves, we decided to share this information with the public that may, or may not have, known about this already.
